Hello, I am Shona Dion,

I use she/her pronouns.  I live on the unceded and traditional territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən (Lekwungen) speaking peoples, known as the Songhees and Xwsepsum (Kosapsum) First Nations.

I am a creative soul, labour activist and community builder. I was raised in a trade union home and I am a 28 year union member.

I am a mother and a spouse of 25 years.  I moved to Victoria from Vancouver with my family in 2013. 

I fully support equity, diversity and inclusion as integral elements to community building.  Just as in nature, diversity makes us more resilient and empathetic.  I believe in the power of collective action and that everyday citizen do have the power to bring about positive change that benefits all of humanity and the natural world.  I believe in civic responsibility and participating in democratic systems.
